LSI Logic's HBA Certified By Chaparral

LSI Logic 2 Gigabit HBA certified with Chaparral's RAID and storage router products

LSI Logic Corporation's LSI44929 host bus adapter (HBA) has been certified withChaparral's Fibre Channel RAID and storage router products.

LSI Logic's LSI44929 is powered by the company's proprietary Fusion-MPT (Message Passing Technology) architecture. The company said it delivers over 75,000 I/O per second using both channels and is auto-negotiable down to 1 Gigabit per second to assure backwards compatibility with existing SAN infrastructure

Chaparral said its Intelligent Storage Routers enable connectivity between SCSI devices and Fibre Channel networks. The company said its JFS224, 1 or 2 Gigabit Fibre Channel-to-Ultra160, and JFS226, 2 Gigabit Fibre Channel-to-Ultra160, external RAID controllers are suited for data intensive applications where exceptional data throughput is required.
