NEC Selects IDE RAID Solution From LSI Logic

NEC picks MegaRAID I4, an intelligent half-size, four channel PCI IDE RAID solution

LSI Logic Corporation , a world leader in communications, consumer and storage solutions, announced it is supplying its IDE RAID storage adapter to NEC Corporation for its IDE RAID servers.

"LSI Logic's i4 PCI RAID solution has opened up new applications for RAID in server environments," said Shigeru Oshima, Senior manager of WAS division, NEC. "Using intelligent IDE RAID solutions from LSI Logic, NEC can offer the Express5800/110Ee,120Ee server line at very competitive price, while still maintaining the demanding data reliability and availability requirements for today's data-intensive server environments."
