The SANmark Qualified Program is run by the Fibre Channel Industry Association

Brocade Communications Systems has achieved SANmark qualification for the SilkWorm family of 1 and 2 Gigabit per Second (Gbit/sec) fabric switches-including the SilkWorm 12000 64- and 128-port Core Fabric Switch, the 16-port SilkWorm 3800 Enterprise Fabric Switch, and the 8-port SilkWorm 3200 Entry Fabric Switch.

The SANmark program, an open industry, conformance test suite development program, was developed cooperatively by the University of New Hampshire and the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) and is based on American National Standards Institute (ANSI) T11 specifications.

"The FCIA is extremely pleased to see industry leaders embrace the SANmark program," said Michael Hoard, Chairman of the FCIA. "This Brocade achievement highlights the tremendous investment being made across the entire Fibre Channel community to expedite standards conformance, ease of use, and pervasive market adoption. The FCIA and member companies have dedicated many years to create the storage networking industry's first and most thorough standards conformance test suite program in support of the vast market growth currently enjoyed by Fibre Channel-based products."

According to the Fibre Channel Industry Association, it is an international organization of manufacturers, systems integrators, developers, systems vendors, industry professionals, and end users. It has more than 190 members and affiliates in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
