This means that the full benefits of Data Domain are best used in conjunction with other Dell EMC backup tools. Those using backup tools from competitors may not realize the same results.

Delivery: Appliance or as virtual software.
Markets and Use Cases: Data Domain can protect data in physical, virtual and cloud environments, as well as any vertical segment. It is used in enterprise, SMB and ROBO environments.
Agents: With Data Domain, you can backup directly to protection storage without the use of an agent. When using Data Domain with Dell EMC Data Protection software or other backup applications from a competitor, an agent is required.
