Adds support for IP interfaces, iSCSI and AIX OS to SANpath and SANscape software

Dot Hill Systems Corp. today announced enhancements to its SANpath(TM) storage networking software and SANscape(TM) storage management software for SANnet(R) storage systems and appliances.

Both products now support IP (Internet Protocol) interfaces, iSCSI and the AIX operating system. Additionally, SANpath 3.2 and SANscape 2.4 now provide improved support for the SANnet RAID Blade(TM), Dot Hill's 1U rack-mountable storage system, and support the new SANnet Axis(TM) storage appliances.

Dot Hill Chief Technology Officer Dana Kammersgard said, "We strive to continually help our customers meet their ever-increasing data management challenges, and are pleased with the support the ongoing evolution of the SANpath and SANscape software applications offer. Customer feedback will continue to be an important factor in future upgrades."

According to Dot Hill, SANpath helps ensure constant availability of data across a storage network, enhances network-server bandwidth through load balancing, enables modifications to the storage network without server restarts and provides logical unit number (LUN) masking capabilities, while SANscape is a Java-based utility that combines SANnet configuration, maintenance and monitoring tools into a single application and provides a centralized management console for SANpath.
