TrueSAN Networks, Inc. today announced a strategic agreement with QLogic Corporation to embed the QLogic SANbox(TM) 8 and 16 port Fibre Channel switches and the SANblade(TM) 2200 Series host bus adapter (HBA) technologies in TrueSAN's Paladin(TM) C-series.

The Paladin C-series is a new line of network storage systems and software that, according to TrueSAN, brings massive storage scalability, unified storage area network (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) functionality, and powerful management tools to enterprise storage customers.

TrueSAN has collaborated with QLogic by writing directly to the application programming interface (API) of the QLogic SANBox switch, enabling tighter integration with TrueSAN's Alchemy(TM) Storage Management Software.

In the coming months,TrueSAN will integrate QLogic's SANbox 64 and 128 port director-class switches, as well as SANbox2(TM) 2Gbps switches and SANblade 2Gbps HBAs in its Paladin network storage systems.
