The strategic alliance is designed to expand distribution of the ZANTAZ Digital Safe(TM) services and Disappearing Inc.'s Policy Manager product to new and existing customers.
Through the new alliance, Disappearing Inc. said it will be able to offer ZANTAZ's electronic archiving services to its corporate clients as a natural extension of its policy management services. ZANTAZ said the alliance will enable the company to offer automated e-mail retention and expiration functionality, along with its electronic message archiving services.
"After the explosion of corporate e-mail usage over the last few years, businesses today lack the ability to control their electronic assets, particularly their e-mail archives," said Mike Burkland, CEO of Disappearing Inc. "Without effective control of electronic assets, companies risk losing valuable intellectual property, and are exposed to enormous legal liabilities. Disappearing Inc.'s Policy Manager and ZANTAZ' Digital Safe are complementary products that allow companies to control their electronic archives and dictate the useful life of each individual e-mail."
"Through this alliance with Disappearing Inc., we will be able to provide our customers with complete lifecycle management for email and other documents," said Steve King, president and CEO of ZANTAZ. "Disappearing Inc.'s technology, which automatically enforces expiration dates for e-mail records, is a natural fit with ZANTAZ's Smart Storage Solutions for electronic messages and related attachments. As e-mail has increasingly become the business communication standard--and conduit for vital corporate intellectual assets--ZANTAZ is helping companies maximize the value of their electronic messages through effective, cost efficient archiving and storage management solutions."
