StorageAler is a JAVA- and web-based SRM solution suite

Storage resource management vendor TrelliSoft Inc. announced the availability of StorageAlert/OS(TM), a JAVA- and web-based SRM solution suite. StorageAlert(TM) is designed to ensure application availability as well as monitor storage assets and usage across UNIX and Windows environments from a single web browser-based interface.

Steve Donovan, President and CEO of TrelliSoft, said, "StorageAlert predicts potential problems and alerts the user to them, ensuring application availability. StorageAlert also helps organizations reduce storage costs by discovering storage that is being consumed by data that is no longer needed."

According to TrelliSoft, StorageAlert identifies orphaned data and stale files to identify wasted space, enables IT to make all users accountable for storage costs, ensures that all data is backed up, analyzes storage usage and predicts future usage based on real information, enforces storage usage policies, and predicts and alerts IT about potential problems.

Pricing for StorageAlert starts at $1,000 for a single Intel-based processor.
