Tek-Tools has announced the availability of Storage Profiler with enhanced support for XIOtech's MAGNITUDE storage platform. Storage Profiler is a high-performance, Web-based storage resource management (SRM) solution.
Storage Profiler for XIOtech's MAGNITUDE storage platform offers monitoring of backbone devices (MAGNITUDE, switches and HBAs) and provides a common tool to detect and anticipate storage outages. According to Tek-Tools, Storage Profiler's end-to-end SAN reporting, including asset, performance and storage information, allows organizations to quickly and easily identify problems with their SANs. By implementing Storage Profiler, MAGNITUDE users will optimize their IT and SAN environment, enabling the ability to track performance at a VDisk level and further tracking file system level performance by using server monitoring agents.
Storage Profiler for XIOtech's MAGNITUDE storage platform offers the following out-of-the-box reports:
- Asset Information, including MAGNITUDE Identity.
- Performance Information, including HAB Performance, MAGNITUDE Performance, Physical Device Performance and Virtual Device Performance.
- Storage Information, including Physical Device Usage.
"Storage Profiler for XIOtech's MAGNITUDE offers consistent monitoring and reporting across their multi-vendor storage network from a heterogeneous, Web-based console," said Ken Barth, President/CEO of Tek-Tools. "IT organizations can now monitor the MAGNITUDE alongside other components of their complicated storage network, including SAN, NAS, DAS and Backup Applications."
Storage Profiler is a cross-vendor, enterprise-level solution providing automated usage trend reporting, capacity planning and real-time monitoring for storage networks. Storage Profiler makes it possible to manage the servers, databases, and storage components supporting mission-critical applications, backup processes and disaster recovery operations. Storage Profiler supports a variety of environments including Sun Solaris, Microsoft Windows NT, Linux and Windows 2000, Novell NetWare, Network Appliance, HP-UX, AIX and Oracle.
