StoreAge to provide its Storage Virtualization Manager to Guangdong TV, broadcaster of the 9th Chinese Sports Games

StoreAge Networking Technologies, a storage virtualization company, today announced a large-scale SVM(TM) (Storage Virtualization Manager) deployment at Guangdong TV, the official operator and broadcaster of the 9th Chinese Sports Games.

According to the company, the deployment is effected with the active assistance of Sobey Digital Technology Co., StoreAge's partner in China.

Mr. Lian Jintian, the Chief Engineer of Guangdong TV commented: "In order to accomplish the TV live broadcast in a more effective way, we made a decision after careful examination and chose Sobey with StoreAge Virtualization Management to build this large-scale memory system, which is based on SAN, SAN volume management and SAN file system, with Media Asset Management application at the International Broadcast Center for the 9th Sports Games.
